Japanese Cuisine Daruma - Calgary

The service was great, very accommodating for younger children. However the food was not as fresh as we thought it would be and the portions were reduced compared to other Japanese restaurants. However, the chefs are authentic and the employees are Japanese. I really wish they had used real wasabi though.Kid-friendliness: There is candy and high chair for the kids. The waitress seems to be quite friendly to children.

Excellent quality Japanese food and fantastic service. Fair prices for the cost. Tried the soba noodles (cold), tempura, roll and sushi. All were delicious!

Spent $50 before tip for two people to eat which including three rolls, two of them being the fancier kind plus an udon soup and seaweed salad. Prices were super reasonable and the wasabi and fish tasted nice and fresh.

Cozy Japanese restaurant in the NE.The food and service was really good. We got the Tofu steak with kinoko sauce and I was surprised by how good it was. Normally I don't get tofu at Japanese restaurants but this was ?We also got a soba and sushi which was also really good.

What a charming, authentic Japanese restaurant! We went here for the first time last week and got their takoyaki, sushi, soba, and donburi. Their takoyaki was really good! The waitress was also very helpful in helping us understand the menu.I would definitely be back for their Japanese street food and sushi.
