Beautiful setting and very good food. Came for an anniversary and were seated in front of a giant fireplace on a comfortable couch which did not inhibit our ability to enjoy our food and allowed us to relax after the meal. Considering everything we got, we thought the bill was very reasonable

I went to this restaurant for my boyfriend's birthday. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, it had a classic and elegant feel. Our server Theresa was attentive and kind. I had a margarita and my boyfriend had a virgin Caesar, both were average. We started with a shared Caesar salad, which lacked flavor. For our mains, I had the steelhead trout and my boyfriend had the short ribs with tomatoes and Brussels sprouts. The food was uninspiring overall, except for the Brussels sprouts which were amazing. The complimentary buns were delicious but the butter lacked flavor. My trout was overcooked but the beets were delicious. The short ribs were good with au jus, but the tomatoes as a side were disappointing. The highlight of the meal were the Brussels sprouts, they had a lovely crunch and flavor. The restaurant provided a chocolate mousse cake for my boyfriend's birthday, which we both tried and found excellent. Overall, the restaurant had a nice ambiance and good service, but the food was just okay. I would consider giving it another try, but for the price, there are better options in the city. I would rate it 3/5.

A very pleasant and relaxing place to dine. Our friends visiting from Winnipeg really enjoyed the meal and the ambience. The lady was at the hotel when she was a very young girl her grandfather was a train engineer, and he stayed over at the Palliser frequently as that was a location where they changed train crews. So the visit meant a lot to her. Thank you.
