Clive Burger - Calgary

The burgers were good, not great. Looking to or topping options. The meal for a family of four was pricey for burgers. The fries and poutine were excellent. The Clive sauce on the fries was superb. I can't say that I will be in a rush to get back.

Great place for a decent burger at a reasonable price. They have a simplistic menu, however the burgers do taste better than fast food chain burgers. Staff are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, refreshing and relaxing. They are more known for their burgers, although they also have franks/hotdogs. They serve alcohol should you be that way inclined. And there is a patio which is great when the suns out to sit back and enjoy a burger with a cold beverage. Of the many burger options along 17th ave this would be one of the quicker better options out there. Would definitely recommend.

My first time here was much better. Just this past weekend - April 2017 my family and I went back. We could not believe how small the meat on the burger was. Not at all what I remembered! For $7 a burger, I want to feel like I've eaten. Also, we ordered a large pouten and it wasn't enough for us. Disappointing for sure!

I usually love this place, however last night (April 19) we went to pickup two burgers and fries and it was horrible. The people weren't as friendly as usual and not friendly. Then when we brought our things home we realized they forgot mushrooms on both of our burgers (that cost us 2$) and the fries were so hard it was as if they were sitting out for hours. Might go in a different direction next time.

For a place that specialises in burgers I would have expected something really good, but they are nothing more than average. The fries were that weird white-hot from being in the fryer that seems to go straight from way too hot to slimy without ever reaching a perfect temperature. I won't to be going back.
