Calypso Greek Taverna - Calgary

Best calimari I have had in calgary — hands down. Not chewy or overcooked; very tender, lightly battered, great flavour. My husband said his lamb was “the best I’ve EVER had.” His was fall off the bone and he loved the flavour. The appy platter for 2 fed 4 of us EASILY. If it were for 2 ppl you would not need dinner. No joke — it’s that huge.<br/ <br/ Our only comment would be to season the steak more. It was didn’t have much flavour. Everything else was amazing! Overall we were incredibly satisfied.

The Greek food here is very good! I absolutely loved the grape leaf wraps and of course the saganaki which is done properly and lit on fire at the table. Very friendly service and nice, Greek atmosphere.Definitely a return visit in my future
