Very popular with Asian diners. A pleasant young man who spoke English well served us. We enjoyed three dishes: salt and pepper tofu, Indonesian style fried rice and chinese broccoli with oyster sauce. All three were very tasty. They bring large glasses of tasty tea and keep them topped up. Reasonable prices. For these three dishes and the tea cost was $32.50 including GST. Not fancy, not licensed (no beer), very busy, but we would return.

This is one of the good cheap eats in Calgary Chinatown for the past 15 years. However we have noticed that prices have gone way up, along with smaller portions and not so tasty food. I even asked the server if they had recently changed cooks after 3 not so good visits and she sheepishly said yes. This is coming from someone who goes there 4-5 times a week for either lunch or dinner. Hopefully things will improve soon

Too many people think that a stir fry is Chinese food. It's not. Properly done, it is different and very tasty. Had the stewed beef flank with lobok for $14.25 plus tax and tip. Choice of soup to start and the Chinese style was good. The stew was served with a sides of plain rice and the steamed lobok leaves. Included also was hot tea. Service was team effort. Everyone made sure I was well looked after.

The reason why I say this is a true HK style tea restaurant is because its staff give you minimal service and virtually no smile, you have to order quick, but the food is decent (except noodle soup). But that's ok because the staff are not unkind, it's just the way it is. Food is usually very tasty and served quickly, but beware that you et your food much quicker if you order a set than from a la carte menu. Avoid the wonton noodle soup and those type of noodle soup, they are not so good.

Baked porkchop on rice in tomato sauce is their best kept secret. Same thing with fish filet in cream corn sauce. We can't go wrong for just $12-13, plus my wife could share a plate. Don't expect excellent service though, but it's good enough to get by.
