Cadence Coffee - Calgary

The food is delicious and the environment is cool. Unfortunately both girls who were working the closing shift on this day (Tuesday at 3pm) were rude and unhelpful. Just in a terrible mood. Definitely brought the experience down.

I have been looking for a new breakfast spot since my favourite one in Ingle wood closed down. And now I have found it. I have to say the breakfast was amazing as was the coffee, very reasonably priced as well, food and coffee etc are ordered at the counter , parking is right outside.The staff were very prompt and great customer service,This truly is a hidden gem.

My wife I were exploring Bowness Park (any excuse to get out of the house after 2 years of COVID). We asked a young girl walking her dog to recommend a place for lunch. She didn't hesitate to recommend Cadence. So we went. It's a bit of a different business model but it works. You check in at the counter when you arrive, get a menu and find a table then go back to the counter to order. Then they bring your meal and drinks to the table. Didn't bother me. My wife ordered French toast but the menu said there were 3 slices of toast and she couldn't eat that much so she asked if she could just have one slice. No problem, they just ordered the kids meal for her. I believe that is called excellent customer service. I had a scrambled egg dish with hash browns, bacon, sausage and onions. Way too much food but it was so good I ate almost all of it. The staff were fantastic, friendly and competent. We enjoyed them immensely. I will make the trek to Bowness again just for brunch at Cadence

I ordered the classic burger with Gouda cheese as an extra, along with a garden salad in lieu of fries. Unfortunately blue cheese was not one of the options for salad dressing so I settled on ranch. When ordering, I asked twice for no onions on my burger and also confirmed the salad did not have onions. On the first bite of the burger I tasted onions so I examined the burger to find that there were indeed onions on it. That was extremely disappointing, especially since I had asked for no onions. I didn’t bother notifying the staff; instead I removed the onions myself. The burger patty might have been 1/3 of a pound and of fairly good quality. The salad was substantial and contained a variety of items, like sprouts and cucumbers. I would have enjoyed my meal more had there been no onions but everything was of good quality

The only thing I did not care for was that you had to order your meal at a counter. Coffee as well. You carried the coffee and they brought your meal to you. Food was average to good, nothing special. The menu was limited but they did have some items not found on many menus.
