Przekaż informację zwrotnąHad gone with my daughter to have a few drinks, light bite to eat and listen to our friends perform. From the moment we walked in the staff was very friendly. We sat down and within a minute our waitress Ehlana was telling us of the specials for that day. Both my daughter and I have numerous years experience in the service industry. I have to say that the service that we received from Ehlana was beyond our expectations. We will definitely be back and hopefully Ehlana will be working.
We have our annual dinner at 80the & Ivy this year and the hostesses and the waitresses are great. The place have live music and the atmosphere is excellent. We had a great time. But we are so disappointing with food. The roasted tomato soup is excellent and it went downhill from there. The wild mushroom ricesotto follows seasoning pattern of my mother - if the mushrooms are already seasoned, then there is no need to season the rice... It's relatively bland... For main, I had the braised beef brisket. My expectations for braised meats is a lot more tender than what I had. It's like a brick. And it is so salty as if it was seasoned twice or more. You can judge how good dishes are by leftovers and there are lots. The dessert are choices between cream buree or Brownies. They are just average. All in all, great night but not so good with food.
Two couples were out for dinner. We arrived and ordered drinks, mine happened to be a pinot grigio, when it arrived in a tumbler, it was warm. I waited for a good half hour before the server returned to our table. She had come to take food order, I gave her my wine, explained to her what it was and asked for a chilled glass. She return after 15 min to tell me that they had no chilled white wine and handed me my glass back and a glass of ice. Nice, this is exactly what I wanted. We ordered dinner, two salads and two ribs. I had wanted to have prawns on my salad, there were no prawns, so I settled for grilled chicken. The meals came. We were all so embarrassed at the food that we talked about Donald Trump; that was a better conversation than this food. My spouse could not eat his ribs, which were 2 large bones with no meat and a lot of sauce. My arugula chicken salad had 4 chicken strips that were either burnt to a crisp and bitter, or dry as saw dust. I do not believe I have eaten food this bad in more than a year. In fact I can not remember when the food was so bad.If I could get off the subject of the bad food I might say that the service was so bad that we when into this place at 6.pm. came out shortly after 9 p.m. all four of us were hungry and we had spent in excess of $150.00 and only two people had alcohol. To say all of us will never be going back is an understatement. I am seriously considering calling the city tomorrow morning to have this place condemned. It is a travesty and a crime against food.
We were here for the first time to meet up with a friend for lunch. What a treat this place is!There is a front room with what I call bar tables - the round tall tables that have tall stools for sitting. The back room has "normal" chairs and tables with a view of the kitchen. We chose the back. The lunch special is a great deal and we all chose it. For $15 you get a choice of the soup of the day or 1 of 3 salads. Then we all chose a different flatbread (pizza) and gelato or sorbet for dessert. They were all excellent. Coffee was also good. Good service. Nice decor. We'll be back.
We went there for a big dinner (28 people) and couldn't be happier with the place. Our server was Haley (not sure about spelling), and the manager at the time was Tess. Both of them were unbelievable. We weren't ideal customers. Although we made the reservation in advance, more people came than expected. People were getting up and saying hi and hugging and moving around all over the place. But the staff didn't make it seem like a problem at all and were so accommodating. We also had a couple of vegans and the chef made a custom order for them that they enjoyed. For a party that large, there were no issues with messed up orders, bills, timing, etc. Everything was handled really well and before you could ask for something they already brought it. They were so organized, helpful, and charming. Haley and Tess (and the kitchen staff) killed it at making sure we were all taken care of.
