Sanam - Calderdale

Madras curry too hot, ordered a kebab and ended up with 6 pieces off chicken inside. Always ordered from this takeaway. Always been really nice but tonight very disappointing with the food. Also ordered Donna and chips and half way through found a hair in the food which is very disgusting and very un hygienic. Certainly will not be ordering from this takeaway agqin

We tried the aloo cholay puri and Parantha omelette at this restaurant and they were both amazing, I would give them a 10/10 rating. The Indian breakfast here is authentic and we think it's the best fried egg we have ever tasted.

This restaurant has been awarded 5 stars by both the council and myself. They consistently provide high-quality food and have been successfully running as a family business in the food industry for over 25 years. Keep up the great work!

Sanams has been consistently serving delicious food for years. My favorite dish is the cutlas, which I have been enjoying for over 15 years.

This review is a long time coming as it has been my only recommended place to eat in Halifax for Asian curries, kebabs, Samosa Chaat, ETC for years now. Unfortunately they no longer provide a restaurant service it is just an all day local high quality takeaway service provided by the same family for over 20 years. It's also worth noting that because of the long established loyal local customers they feel no need to have a menu on display (honestly! However, if you are new to Sanam's and just give them an idea of what kind of dish you would like , they will be more that happy to make it up for you. Most of the starter's and snacks that they do are clearly displayed in a fridge and the guys that take your order are really friendly and polite and never too busy to accommodate your request. My favourite dish is Lamb Bhuna med/hot. There's always plenty of meat in the portion and it's never greasy. All curries are served fresh to order. Also worth noting is their 5 Star Hygiene rating which is a big deal for my choice of place to eat. I've been eating here regularly for the past 20 years and never had a bad meal.
