Watermill Cafe - Caldbeck

Caldbeck is a pretty village on the northern end of the national park and this caffe is located in an interesting complex of old buildings; there are several shops with craft goods, although of course quite many are made from local sheep wool. the personal is helpful and knowledgeable and can scratch the vegan options immediately (although only the cakes are marked. hiking shoes are allowed inside, but they will ask them to remove very muddy, only inside the door. toilets are outside (with the washing machine! . I think it can be wheelchair-friendly, though the sloping path leading from the road is quite uneven. I enjoyed the aprikosen disc and datum disc and liked the view of the beck outside the window. there is a coal stove here, so it is beautiful and cozy in winter.

This cafe is excellent, with dog-friendly outdoor seating. The food and cakes have a wonderful homemade feel, and the ambiance is peaceful, situated between the river and a grill area. I wouldn't hesitate to return! x

The service was excellent, with a great selection of teas and amazing homemade cakes. We tried the caramel shortcake, and it was one of the best we’ve ever had—definitely a 10/10!

The coffee is excellent and the food is delicious. It's a very relaxing atmosphere, and there’s plenty of outdoor seating available for those with dogs.
