Restaurant Chiciu Monica - Călăraşi

What a kitten this restaurant in chiciu! rude staff, long wait for the order. I'll wait after 45 minutes. I didn't even get the chance to order at least the drinks!

We have eaten more times there and we felt very comfortable. good destination for a weekend. .and fi they like donau do not hesitate to go there and the river to the eastrow with "bac "it takes 30 minutes and after only visit dobrogea.

Be ready to wait 40 min for a suppe and 2 hours for the second curs (in our case grilled fish fillet and French french fries). we complained to the manager about the bad managment of the kitchen and got free dessert when we told her that we should be compensated. the server were nice and prompt. that was waiting for the kitchen. the suppe was incredible.

This restaurant is about 10km from the center of the Calarasi town, about 15 minutes drive, in the area called Chiciu, near the ferry dock which takes cars across the Danube, if you are either on the way to Bulgaria, or if you are are...taking highway 3 east towards the black see Constanta area. As such it's one of the few (if not the only one) in the area that is directly on the Danube river and it has good food and atmosphere. They have one private booths, a large indoor and large outdoor (covered) area. It's decorated with wood and stone accents. They also host weddings here. Between the view and the food it's my favorite restaurant in the Calarasi area and I try to go there whenever I'm in town. One of my favourite dishes there is Scrumbia fish, which they grill whole.

Helpful,easy going very friendly, families welcome, pets allowed and an amazing view. We went there as a option for our wedding and we fall in love with the place, i highly recommended for a holiday or for a event venue.
