Yokozuna - Cairns

Little gem of a restaurant in the heart of Cairns, with a decor and friendly service of true Japan as well as authentic Japanese food.

The Yokozuna is a nice Japanese style restaurant. It has reminded me on my trip to Japan some years ago. You can not make anything wrong if you like to go for a Japanese food experience

I have been to several Japanese food restaurants in Cairns and this is my favourite. The food that you get for the prices you pay is fantastic. We had a few different starters including the gyoza, tofu and kimchi, and salmon nigiri. We both had Ramen noodles for a main meal. Absolutely delicious!The staff there are very friendly and attentive. We even learned how to speak a little bit of Japanese too. We will be making this a regular spot for our "Sushi and Sapporo" nights!

We visit Yokozuna several times a month (being locals) and the food us always mouthwatering. Very friendly staff and there are children's books etc to keep kids entertained. We highly recommend all of the noodle dishes, the gyoza and the edamame!!!

I ordered a salmon sashmi as well as chicken kebab style. The food is great as well as the service that I have received. recommend this place.
