Phetyai Thai - Cairns

What an amazing place. it is not “sweet”! it is perfect with very delicious food. I remember Thai eating. love the warmth of the staff and love how they care about each portion. must visit them when they are here.

That was delicious. 10/10 the green chicken cure was the best we cost in the city. comes back in definitiw. the personal was friendly and patient while we took time to decide what we want to eat. the whole service was great. the staff was very fast to clean and refurbish the tables, we felt very comfortable and relaxed, just enjoying what might be the best eating in the city? can not wait to bring all our friends and family back to lunch or dinner.

Cheap and tasty! large portions and very good value. was here a lot. recommend the garlic pork, crispy chicken with rice and seafood yum salad. it is the best thai restaurant in cairns for me.

Fantastic eating and generous portions for about $15 it cannot be beaten.

It's an absolute gem of a Thai place! I am so happy I found this one. The food was totally delicious and the portions were huge! The price is so reasonable that I daresay this is perhaps the Thai place in Australia which offers the best value for money! I have never seen another thai restaurant that offers free rice with the curry. I don't know whether it was something common in Cairns but I was very positively surprised. All other places would ask for an extra 5$ for that much rice. We ordered one curry, one stir fried fish, one fried rice, coconut rice and fried chicken wings and we paid only 57$. The fried chicken was probably the only thing we didn't like as much. Their customer care may have shown some space for improvement, as it wasn't easy to get their attention, but hey for such great food at such an amazing price, I don't mind a little lack of attention, I understand they perhaps were a little understaffed.
