Muddy's Cafe - Cairns

Folks Lots of places to grab breakfast or lunch in Cairns Not many are next to a kids park "on the waterfront" But the best part is the food is so tasty And you have healthy choices We had the grilled fish burger (comes with a slice of beet- as most burgers and sandwiches in Oz) And fries !!! Yes you don't pay EXTRa for french fries at Muddy's Go on eat at Muddy's You will be glad you did

Nous avons été conquis par ce petit café en front de mer. Il n'a rien de typique ou charmant mais le petit déjeuner est très bon et le jus d'orange frais est un régal. Un super petit déjeuné, au soleil, pour bien commencer la journée !

We really enjoyed the fresh and flavoursome food and delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. The setting of the cafe on the esplanade at Cairns is excellent and really taps into some tropical charm. Only drawback was a young staff member calling out order numbers when ready for collection. She spoke way to close to the microphone and shrieked into the PA system. We nearly jumped out of our skins! There has to be a better system or, at the very least, mike training for staff.

One of the best views in Cairns, right on the waterfront looking out to sea. I had eggs Benedict which was good and was served quickly. The coffee was mediocre, lacking flavour. The cafe is beside a children's play area so customers bring far too many noisy children with them - not the cafe's fault but it detracts from the experience.

Firstly it doesn't look much chop from the outside but it's a typical beachfront cafe like most others. It's got burgers, seafood, milkshakes and juices and the service was fairly prompt. I had the crumbed calamari and chips and it was super fresh and perfectly cooked. I thought I'd tasted fresh calamari before but this is FRESH! For what I got I thought it was reasonably priced at $14. The side of lemon aioli was delicious too. Can't fault a thing based on what I ate and what I paid. Pretty happy
