Cairns Courtyard Cafe

A little cafe in a lovely green courtyard at the Cairns Regional Council building on Draper Street. Noticed a good selection of grab

Firstly, living in outback NT, working for a company that only supply tooheys beer. you can imagine my delight when I walked into this bar and saw all the different beers on tap and on further inspection found that they had PINTS!!!. The joys of going on holidays. we decided to stay for a good old fashion pub meal, which turned out to be a great idea. I was devastated to find out they had no chicken Kiev's left, so I went for my next choice. The good old mixed gill. This meal was absolutely sensational. For my $36 (I think) I got snags, chops, steak and bacon all cooked to perfection, with chips that had a lovely spice on them and a very nice fresh salad and balsamic vinegar. To compliment the meat I had the best peppercorn gravy I think I have ever tasted. there was just one problem, there wasn't enough!!. excellent grub from this pub!! 9.5/10

Stopped at the Courtyard one hot Cairns afternoonIt had an upbeat vibe, super friendly staff, and seats inside and out.

Good location facing the water, good tacos and friesIt was a little less touristy looking than most places on the esplanade.

Very average . Wouldn't eat here again given all the other options in the area. Place looks nice though.
