Churchill's Fish - Caerphilly

The restaurant is always very welcoming and friendly. It's a great place for a relaxing sit-down meal. The food is cooked perfectly and I give it a 10/10 rating. You won't be disappointed.

We were disappointed to find our favorite fish and chip shop closed for our annual post-Christmas visit. After checking out another place that didn't seem dedicated to fish and chips, we decided to give it a pass and try Churchills instead. The staff was cheerful and helpful, and the food was delicious. A burger in batter was already prepared, and the rest of the fish was cooked to order. A top tip is that they also stock Irish Curry sauce, although it's not advertised - you have to ask for it. Overall, there were no disappointments here, and all of our meals were thoroughly enjoyed. Churchills saved the day (or at least our lunch)!

Had a choice of here or the chip shop in the center of Risca. Made the wrong choice. Chips seems warmed up from an earlier time and were rubbery. Also seemed raw in the middle. Worst chips I've had for a very long time. Will go up the road next time. Up your game guys big time

We waited a long time for our chips to be cooked, only to find that they were undercooked and still raw in the middle. The sausage in batter was burnt all the way through and had a stale taste. Additionally, the staff behind the counter were not wearing the correct PPE. Both my partner and I were disappointed with our food experience.

Been using this place now for 50 years, Phil runs a great place and staff always happy and helpful. Never used the cafe facility which I think is only a daytime facility and I’m an evening take out regular.
