Larnicol - Caen

J'ai été attiré par les kougniettes depuis l'extérieur et je suis rentré dans la boutique qui est sublime. J'ai un peu goûté à tout, c'est délicieux et un plaisir pour les yeux sans oublier le personnel qui est plus qu'agréable. Je vous conseille d'y aller au plis vite

Our river cruise on the Seine River had Honfleur as a port of call and our guide recommended that we tried the Kouignettes as something different to taste . We did and they were simply delicious ! I was a bit disappointed when I learned that the recipe is originally from Bretagne not Normandy

Our river cruise guide directed us to this wonderful chocolate shop in 2015.Her recommendation of the salted caramels and chocolates was spot-on! Retracing my steps during a recent stop in Honfleur, I found this marvelous spot once again! I purchased an assortment of caramels, by the piece, from the elegant displays, and an assortment of colorful French meringues. You can choose very large meringues-swirled with chocolate- so good, like biting into a sweet and crunchy cloud, or, smaller cookie- sized ones, swirled with bright colors. My infatuation with these French treats actually started at Epcot Center, at the French patisserie. I also found them recently at Carluccio's , a London chain of Italian restaurants and take-away shops.

Notre visite a été très décevante. Pas à la hauteur attendue d'un meilleur ouvrier de France. Les macarons sont secs, les kouignamans trop gras. On ne reviendra pas. PS pour TripAdvisor: c'est situé à Caen et non à Honfleur.

A chaque fois que nous venons à Honfleur, nous passons par cette boutique. Les kouignettes sont délicieuses (adeptes de régimes s'abstenir...), même chose par les galettes. Par contre, les chocolats ne sont pas à la hauteur... Très bonne idée de laisser les clients de découvrir à leur rythme et de se servir par eux-mêmes.
