Sala de Payogasta - Cachi

Just outside the small village of Payogasta. The owners converted an old farmhouse into a beautiful hotel. Try to get a room at the back of the farm, the view is amazing!! The rooms were large, comfortable and cool due to thick walls and high ceilings. Breakfast is a real grief, although I know it was very early in the morning, but if you are for birds and hikers, these travelers do not sleep late really guys, you need to improve it! A cup of tea and some dry cookies is not breakfast.

After visiting the La Poma neighborhood and its Granero Incaico (100km RT), we returned to Payogasta for lunch. We noticed the al fresca tables that fill in the Sala de Payogasta and decided to join them. After ordering from the varied menu we enjoyed a Malbec with the bread basket with salsa and shrimp until our meals arrived; Cabrito Asada and Canalni with vegetables, all for 530 AP= $26. Great food at a reasonable price in a semi-shaded alcove from the interior restaurant overlooking the finca.

Back from a tour through parque los cardones I stopped at sala de payogasta. the variety of the menu was quite extensive. I had a vegetarian meal and it was very delicious. Service was very friendly. good place for a nice meal.

The restaurant in Sala de Payogasta has a number of options and the food is ok, but nothing from the usual. Worth visiting for the stunning surroundings and very good wines from Bodega, though.

Delicious meals, many choices on the menu, super friendly staff. It is a bit expensive but then this is a tourist area.
