Scott Damien's on the Lake - Caboolture

Have been here more then a dozen times never had a bad meal for me or my wife would like to go more often.

Nothing to complain about with our mid-week lunch at Scott Damien's - a surprisingly good find at Caboolture, not exactly culinary dining heaven. This restaurant has been here for 17 years so they must be doing something right on a consistent basis. To start with, the great old fashioned service with friendly conversation from the wonderful Gerard made my mum's birthday a very nice day. Thank you Gerard. The snapper main meal special that I had with seasonal vegetables was enjoyable, although at $40, you are at Brisbane CBD prices and it was enjoyable rather than outstanding. The wine list was small but we found a nice glass of Chardonnay to have with our meal. The chocolate wontons for dessert were a stand out. All round, a very pleasant experience.

I tried an award winning pasta dish - well not this one. Apart from the beautifully fresh garlic most of the ingredients were lost because they were too finely chopped or shredded. The overall effect was a flavourful edge to the fettuccine pasta but would have suited a more robust pasta like pappardelle far better. An enjoyable dish but not a standout.

I really should be ashamed of myself as I have lived close by for many years and only been here once for a quick lunch.This restaurant was set up in 1999 and must be doing something right as it is still here in 2017.This very pleasant experience started with the booking for a group on ten on Tuesday evening and the request for separate bills was met with a cheerful positive response.The dishes ordered were varied and nothing but praise for the quality and presentation and very happy that all 10 meals arrived at the same time piping hot,a feat not to be sneered at.Desserts followed and the white and dark chocolate deep fried wantons seemed to win as the most popular one but still nothing but compliments re the quality and standard for all servings..The waitress was only new to the job and we probably did test her a little but she did well with a smile.Had a great chat to the chef/owner and that just added to the evening,we will most definitely visit again.

Mothers day. We booked two weeks in advance. We were greeted promptly prior to entering the restaurant in the car park to accommodate my mother (wheelchair dependent). I have to say that alone was above any expectation. We had a table of four and the service by their staff, exceptional. Our lunch, entrees, mains & desserts could not be faulted, without exaggeration. A delightful culinary experience. Thank you Scott Damien's On The Lake. We look forward to returning.
