John's Place - Cabo San Lucas

All the games and great food. Great prices on canned beer. Great staff

We were looking for authentic Mexican food but greatly disappointed. Tamarindo water tasted more like fruit flavored water. Asked them to put more pulp and was the same thing. Tacos needed more flavor. Spot in a good location but they need to step up their game.

It was way better than I expected... Fantastic surprise.

Just spent a few days in Cabo, and we were told to check out John's Place. Walked in looking for a place to watch the Phillies Game 4 of the playoffs. As we settled at the bar, in walks the owner Daniel. We had not met him yet, but he changed the TV we were watching to HD, and pumped the sound through the whole bar. After a couple innings, Daniel asked to put a friendly $5 bet on the game, and said he wanted the Braves. Absolutely! Phillies take the Win, and Daniel paid up, and added a shot of Tequila. He made the whole evening great for us that night. The service was outstanding. The food is fabulous. Great prices. We stopped in every day after that for lunch, or dinner or just a drink to show our appreciation. The whole staff was awesome! Everyone was very nice, joked around, etc. If you are in downtown Cabo near the Marina, make sure you stop in to John's Place. You wont regret it!!
