The Bungalows recommended this restaurant, and as it was close and we were tired and hungry, it was where we went for our first meal in Cabos. Oh, my goodness, are we ever glad we did! We had 3 fish tacos, (sea bass) freshly prepared, for $5. The owner brought us corn chips with freshly made salsa. He also made us guacamole which we took home with more chips for a snack that evening. When we ordered a beer, he went to the grocery store up the street. We went to many other restaurants in Cabos, but Capitan Fish is the only one we went back to a second time! (And would have gone more, but it was closed on two other occasions. Note: they are closed on Tuesdays. Inquire if they are closed at other times.)
Our host in Cabo San Lucas recommend this spot for dinner. We had just arrived after a long day of travel & wanted something close by. I have to admit I was a little skeptical, especially when the owner/waiter apparently walked up the street to get the 2 beers we ordered. But we were put at ease quickly. The traditional pre meal chips were served with fresh (as in made that moment) Pico de Gallo. We also ordered the guacamole which was made in a similar fashion. For dinner we ordered a mixed seafood ceviche & shrimp tacos. They came with more chips & roasted pico. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. All told 1 appetizer, 2 entrees & 4 beers plus chips & pico the bill was only $25 US.
This restaurant is near the Marina and serves fun, great food and beverages. it has mounted TV's for all the channels any one person could want for. Wait staff were not slow with meals being presented like a 4 star resort.
We tried to come for dinner, but they were only open during daylight hours, so we tried again for lunch and were glad we did! We started with guacamole and limeades, then my had shrimp aguachile (ceviche in a spicy lime-serrano marinade - delicious, but only if you like really spicy foods) and I had Baja-style (a/k/a fried) fish with avocado and tomato (also delicious and not spicy at all). We were glad we followed the Bungalows' recommendation once again!
