Rambutan - CABLE BEACH

Went for dinner on New Year's Eve. Great atmosphere by the pool, looks sensational. Very friendly staff, food was great. Big serves and very tasty.

Was surprised by friends to come to this lovely restaurant. we had some lovely entree's and then mains to share. service was fantastic and food was just delicious, the prawns were juicy and the duck was crispy and salty. will definitely come back. Drinks were also a treat as the heat was quite intense but was cooled down by lots of wine and cold water.

Rambutan dining was lovely with a great atmosphere by the pool and fire twirling for our entertainment of the evening. Service was fantastic.

Lovely evening started with a tasting platter of prawn salad, satay sticks, spring rolls all delicious.Great choice of Matso mango beer on ice that complemented the meal.We shared a beef randang curry medium hot that was delicious with some rice.Our waitress was from Malaysia and friendly and interesting to chat with and very attentive.

My partner and I went out for dinner on Sunday, April 16th. We opted for the chef's tasting menu and a nice bottle of wine. However, they returned to inform us that the wine we selected was unavailable, which was disappointing. We started with dumplings and satay chicken skewers, which were decent but not outstanding. The crab salad took over an hour to arrive, and while it was refreshing, it lacked flavor and seemed like it could have been pre-made. The herbed chicken main course was overcooked and spicier than expected, with rice that appeared dirty. For dessert, we had a decent ginger creme brûlée but an inedible cassava cake. Despite friendly service, it was inattentive and the meal ended up exceeding $200 for us both. The quality of the food was underwhelming, and while we hope these issues are resolved with the new menu, we recommend trying other restaurants at the resort for a better experience.
