Kartel Espresso Bar - CABARITA BEACH

Brilliant little place for coffee. Quirky, friendly and worth an extra few steps to get good coffee, service and small selection of sweet treats to go with if you want.

Really want to like this cafe, it's cute and quirky but at least twice I've had coffee from there that was undrinkable! and other times was really good. Really depends on who the barista is. I've walked there enough times and saw who was making drinks so just walked straight back out again and now just don't even bother. I've had chai tea that was one of the best made (very creamy and tasted so good) and another day same order completely different drink - flat overheated soymilk and I could have made it better at home myself. So disappointing. They do sell nice treats.

Been here a few times and always go away thinking the same thing. Great place if you want to just grab coffee and run, but don't even think abut sitting down. Funky / quirky chairs can be cool if comfortable but anything but if they're not. Wouldn't kill the owner to spend $200 on 1/2 dozen comfortable chairs. Also, even though I was the only customer at the time the staff couldn't be bothered walking out with my coffee to the table. Just left it on the counter. Very good coffee so a shame about the rest

Adore this hole in the wall coffee shop at Cabarita. Have been visiting a couple of times a week for over 4 years now and always pleased when the lovely Erica (barista extrordinaire) is on duty. They must be doing something right as this tiny place is usually packed.

Second review. Been here twice this trip. Courteous crew. Lovely coffee. Just a hole in the wall but more. Fresh food. Judging by the number of customers this is the place to be at Cabarita. Will call again.
