I've been a customer for years since my college days. Buffet rates are very affordable but one must not expect a high-end restaurant menu. You just get what you pay for. As to the taste, for me, it never falls below my standards of what is delectable.I like the desserts here especially the native ones!
We were traveling back to Manila when we came across to Plaza Leticia. We decided to eat dinner there and we knew that they have a buffet. So we went there, upon entering the place, you can say that it is well maintained and clean. It feels like you kinda need to wear nice decent clothes because of the surrounding. Airconditioner was also working well. Service is good. Buffet is not bad, they have lots of food to choose from. Food is nice and it was actually a good find during the travel. I tried different kinds of food and I must say that they were actually pretty tasty for the price you pay. I wouldnt mind going back there and eat again. It's worth it.
Yes the "buffet" is only php200 per head, but then again what would you expect with that amount? What Asian or Continental choice? The viands are just simple dishes like sauteed veggies with dots of shrimp labeled as seafood mixed vegs. Redeeming factor here are the local desserts-simple maja or jelly but very yummy. Try out first instead the other local restos before this one.
We recently attended a wedding reception at this place. It's along the highway, therefore easily accessible. Several beggars were loitering at the entrance. No staff greeted/assisted guests to the second floor function room. The room where the reception was held had an uneven carpet which made several of us trip. Again, no staff member came to fix it. Poor sound system-we heard music from the outside not from the inside. Food servers were frowning all the time. Since my father-in-law (father of the bride) had difficulty walking, I asked the head waiter, "Jerwin", if food can be served at our table. A definite "no" from him. "Bawal" according to the manager. The list goes on and on. I've been to a lot of restaurants in the Philippines from Luzon to Mindanao, from shabby to high end, and I must say that this is one of the worst service I have ever encountered. Will I ever go back to this place? A definite "no" from me. Will I recommend it for special occasions? Definitely not.
