Edna's Cakeland - Cabanatuan City

For visitors just like me, take a piece of (cake) Cabanatuan with you before you go home. Known for their pastries such as Cake Rolls, their embutido is a must try as well. But my favorite is their Oatmeal Cookies ;)

We dropped-by this Restaurant not to eat but rather just to buy several pastry products. I like their products

Since i live in nueva ecija. Going to cakeland has been a normal routine for me. What i like about edna's is the freshness of bread and cleanliness of the place. I always have empanada, siomai and cheese roll yum2❤️

Without a doubt, they offer the best pastries in town, however, they have very inattentive staff. They don't smile at all and they don't pay attention to see who's turn it is to be served. They also smirk at customers who use credit card. Very rude

We went home to the province in time for my nephew's Christening. Since a family event can always go crazy, we opted to check in at a hotel instead of staying at the house to give way to the other guests arriving. I was so happy we were able to book a room with a very affordable rate. Turns out the reason behind that is there's no breakfast included in our package. So very early the next day, as the hubby and I were both hungry, we decided to take a stroll to check what places are already open. We passed by a couple of haunts before we decided to check out @ednascakeland, and I'm glad we did. Good thing they were already open, but we would still have to wait for a few minutes since they're still preparing the meals. We settled in and smelled the freshly-baked goodies. We were pleasantly surprised that they're not only serving delectable pastries, but also breakfast options! We were so famished we ordered 3 sets. Yes, 3 sets for 2 people, get over it. We are normal. We just love to eat. :)Here's what we had:Angus Tapa - the hubby said this was good. I'm not into beef (unless it's for spaghetti or burger) so I will take his word on this. Bagwang - thinly-sliced pork (like bacon, but garlicky). It was good too, but it could be better. It's crunchy but felt a bit oily. Garlic Longganisa - the City's famous sausages. It was flavorful but not too overpowering. It was crispy and had the right amount of saltiness. We'll go back soon for the lasagna and other treats! :)
