We found out that the council have not yet approved signage for the restaurant so we did drive past the property without knowing but we soon pulled over and rang the restaurant who gave us clear directions to exit the South West Hwy at the WA Bluemetal signage/turnoff. The driveway is really easy to find from there as it forks off with clear signage and directions to the car park. <br/ <br/ We booked a table for dinner on Valentines evening and had a lovely time dining here. The views are second to none, we were delighted to watch an abundance of Kangaroos peacefully grazing near the restaurant as the sun was setting, along with some wild ducks from the area. It was so picturesque and peaceful. Every direction offered a unique and beautiful view. I don’t think you will find many restaurants around Perth that could boast the views and wildlife that we experienced observing here. <br/ <br/ The first thing I noticed besides the lovely entrance into the restaurant and the polite wait staff to greet us, were how the tables are set apart for a more private or intimate setting. It was refreshing to dine somewhere that actually has adequate space between tables. Everything was set out nicely on the table, it was very inviting and clean. <br/ <br/ My fiancé ordered the crispy soft shelled crab for a starter and I had the Spanish chorizo eggplant chicken. We both thoroughly enjoyed these dishes. The sauce that came with the crab made for a great combination and had a really nice flavour and ‘kick’ to it. The eggplant and pepper ribbons that sat under the chicken had a lovely tang to them, the Romano sauce atop of the chicken with chorizo was a perfect marriage of flavours and everything was cooked to perfection. <br/ <br/ The staff were lovely, attentive and helpful and we were suprised at how swiftly each meal was delivered to our table. <br/ <br/ Our mains were the Yellow Chicken Curry with rice which was absolutely divine, the curry was so well flavoured and we also ordered the Sage Prosciutto Chicken breast stuffed with Bocconcini and Pinenuts with a crispy potato and mushroom cake, spinach leaves and a jus. This main was such a wonderful choice and neither of us could completely finish our mains, we were so satisfied and full. This was a shame because we were really looking forward to having dessert but we just couldn’t fit another bite in. <br/ <br/ We will definitely be going back to sample more of the menu. Our dining experience was second to none. Everything was perfect, the food, the staff, the setting, the tranquillity. We had a really lovely time here and look forward to our next visit.
We had our wedding reception here 11 years ago. We returned to show our kids and what a fantastic surprise. The food was great, kids meals good value and size. We had pork belly and lamb rump both were some of the best we have ever tasted. Only thing I could fault was a very small beer and cider list. The waitress was very attentive and friendly.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here today! Really delicious food, reasonably priced, and a huge serve. Staff were very friendly and the view was just beautiful. I highly recommend the drive out. We will be back again
14th June 2015It was our daughters 16th Birthday and our family group of 12 people went therefor lunch. We were greeted by very friendly staff who showed us to our table and immediately asked if we would like drinks. We all had different meals and the food was brilliant and the service was first class. Even the staff sang happy birthday to our daughter. The staff ensured that our every request was attendedto. Would definitely go back again especially for an evening meal, as the sunsets are beautiful and just seeing the kangaroos in the paddocks is somethingspectacular.
Great Food Great Location Awesome Friendly staff. Tumbulgum Park is one of those 'gold mine ' restaurants that you only seem to find either by a friend 's recommendation or by sheer luck. It has everything from an awesome view from the restaurant over a picturesque lake which is a fantastic location for weddings, parties and receptions to a massive theatre and the restaurant is perfect!Well set out with lots of room creating a great ambiance in a rural atmosphere and very clean and crisp looking decor, you can 't help but notice that the owners of this restaurant really know and love what they are doing. The menu is great not too many choices to leave you baffled but enough choice to keep everyone happy at the table and plenty of other choices for return visits to keep you coming back to try them all.The drinks service was very quick and pricing for drinks was very good. The waitress came out regularly and asked us if we were ok for drinks throughout the evening (something which seems to have been lost throughout the Perth restaurants of late).Price wise 6 of us (and one child) cost just over $240 and included entree, mains, drinks and desserts which was great value. The food was excellent. Large serves and very fresh. Steaks were cooked exactly as described with Medium Rare being perfectly cooked. This restaurant certainly shows some of the more popular restaurants in Perth how it should be done. Thank you to our awesome waitress who was all smiles regardless of how much work she had to do on the night with nothing being too much trouble, and compliments to the chef who did a fantastic job leaving us with nothing but praise and empty plates for this overall fantastic experience. We will be back and next time we will be bringing all of our friends with us too!Give Tumbulgum Park a try for your next group of friends dinner. You won 't be disappointed!
