Dragon Inn Chinese Restaurant - BYFORD

This is the third time I have endeavoured to order food from Dragon Inn via Menulog, and the third time the order has been refused, and therefore the third time I will have to wait days for a refund from Menulog. Totally...unacceptable. If Dragon Inn cannot fulfil orders via Menulog, then I suggest they withdraw from the Menulog scheme altogether. Very, very unhappy.

I've tried to like this restaurant but after the third time I give up. It males me so sick everytime I eat it. I think it maybe the rice. It tastes good but unfortunately I won't be visiting again. Sorry

It is some months since I last tried to abortively order from this venue. On this occasion, the order was placed via Menulog approximately an hour before the restaurant opened. The order was accepted and confirmed when the restaurant opened. The food itself was...delivered on time. The items ordered were sweet and sour chicken (battered), deep-fried duck with plum sauce, steamed rice and prawn crackers. The food was hot and tasty, the duck, in particular, is quite delicious. The battered chicken was not crispy but this is probably a result of being packed in a plastic tub for transportation. Maybe the restaurant could consider packaging its deep-fried battered products in paper bags as other establishments do, therefore preserving the crispy batter. In general, therefore, a very pleasant meal. I do however query the imposition of a delivery charge which seems exorbitant when Uber charges a maximum of for this distance. The food itself is slightly on the high side of reasonable.

We have only had take away but one does see people in the dining room, which is quite pleasant. The last time we had the take away , We had visitors so had the set menu banquet no I think) there was plenty...of food. And choices were still available within the set menu. Our visitors thought it was so good ,they wanted to know where the restaurant was so they could go there if in the neighbourhood. Recommended for quality and quantity.

The food is good without being great but I find the service here to be fairly average. The venue is quite table crowded but is seldom full so manageble.
