The Royal Oak Inn - Buxton

Charming countryside pub with an inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, courteous, and accommodating, creating a lovely mood. They were knowledgeable about the drinks and dishes offered. We enjoyed delicious food made with local ingredients. I had the lamb, which was cooked to perfection and tasted fresh and delightful. We also tried the local keg beer, which was excellent. After the meal, we took a lovely walk in the surrounding area. I will definitely return, but be sure to make a reservation, as it was fully booked when we visited!

This well-known pub restaurant is located right on the main street in Hurdlow. They use all local ingredients, resulting in some truly exquisite dishes, alongside a nice selection of drinks. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that everyone has a great experience. It's advisable to make a reservation in advance, as it tends to get quite busy, making it difficult to find a table otherwise. Both of the dishes we tried were delicious and offered generous portions.

We had a fantastic dining experience with plenty of delicious vegan options. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was beautiful. It was definitely worth the 20-mile bike ride! There was plenty of bike parking, and they even filled our water bottles for us!

Amazing pub with amazing food. Have been there twice in the past couple of days. We booked in advance because they don't usually take walk ins due to how busy they get. Service was really quick and made us feel welcomed as soon as we were seated. Dinner was amazing wr had starters main and dessert. There was an issue with the specials board and that it hadn't been updated so the food that was ordered wasn't what was expected. However staff rectified quickly and offered us a free dessert for those who were affected. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is in the area.
