I decided to speak with the manager and requested a new piece of salmon, clarifying that I simply wanted it drier than usual, not burnt, and that I didn't want the fries well-done. Fifteen minutes passed, and my entire family had finished their meals and was ready to leave, while I was still waiting for the dinner I had ordered and paid for. I approached the manager again for a refund, and he offered me just one dollar back on my eleven-dollar meal. Keep in mind I hadn't eaten anything as I was waiting for my specially requested dish. Our waitress was inattentive, neglecting to refill our drinks or clear the used dishes from our table, essentially ignoring us. I told the manager that if one dollar was all he could offer me, despite my not receiving the food I had paid for, it would be better for him to keep it, and that we wouldn't be returning. He agreed, and I left feeling quite disappointed. This experience took place at the Ponderosa on Court St. across from Courtland Center in Burton, MI. I truly hope no one else has to go through something similar.
My son took me out for dinner, and it turned out to be a disappointing experience. We decided to go for the buffet, but the food was dry, and there were small children playing around in the food and dessert bar, which created quite a mess. Overall, the cleanliness of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. We arrived hungry, especially after spending over $20 on our meal.
