Popped along to the Woodpecker Inn for lunch last Saturday. What a find, immaculately clean, quirky decor, friendly staff... and as for the food, well I have to say, we had the lunch time specials. I had Fish and Chips and my wife had the Chicken Schnitzel. Probably the best fish and chips I've eaten in Australia and the Schnitzel was huge and tender. We'll certainly be going back and would recommend to anyone.
The quality of food served thats cheaper than most chain taverns is outstanding. Often order the Parmi and have never gone wrong with it. $27 and you get a huge slap of chicken. My only fault is the fries tasted a little frozen but that could just be me. Happy to come again any day of the week. It was so good, I finished the whole plate. My mates steak was cooked nicely and he said he quite enjoyed it as well. Will be back for more.
Truly delicious food, been here for lunch twice and both times the food was wonderful and very generous portions.
I took our senior and disability group out for lunch here and the food, value for money and service was excellent. We were looked after well and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent Venue and staff, we will be back :
