Mungo Lodge - BURONGA

The meal we had at the lodge that was included in our organised tour, was fresh, tasty and presented so beautifully! Staff were so friendly and helpful. We couldn’t believe that there was so much choice on the menu!

Despite being located 100 kilometers off the main road and down a 70-kilometer dirt road, the coffee and scones greeted us upon arrival and the lunch following our National Park tour were exceptional. Kudos to the staff at Mungo Lodge!

After camping in the National Park, we stopped for coffee on the way out, but were very disappointed. My almond milk coffee lacked any coffee flavor, and my husband's was bitter and gritty. We were willing to pay a higher price because of the location, but it was very disappointing to receive a poor quality drink.

Had dinner here as a part of a tour so a very limited menu and even more limited for a vegetarian. Having said that the meals were nice everyone was happy with what was dished up. Friendly staff and a great location. Would like to come back for an extended stay at some stage.

Our experience at Mungo Lodge exceeded our expectations. Often, places with a monopoly tend to lack effort, but this was not the case with Jo and Gregory. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and Gregory offered us a variety of options for our overnight stay. The two bedroom cabin was stunning. It featured two spacious bedrooms, a luxurious bathroom, a covered deck with comfortable furniture, and a large open room with dining for six, a full kitchen, and a cozy lounge area. Though self-catering was an option in the well-equipped kitchen, we opted to enjoy Jo's delicious lamb shanks in the lodge dining room before joining Gregory on the sunset tour. Gregory not only provided a thoughtful commentary on the region's history during the tour, but also showed great care by carrying a folding chair for us in case we needed it during the two-hour tour. It was truly an exceptional outback experience!
