Halftime Pizza - Burney

Wish they were still open I spent so many afternoons and evenings here as a kid.

THIS PLACE IS CLOSED Ok so why they 5 stars? Well I have to admit I never ate too much here and never thought it was great when I did. It had definitely been going downhill for the last few years. The reason it gets 5 stars from me is it was a place I grew up with. It was opened when I was in High School and I knew all the different owners. What I am going to miss the most is the Happy Hour where I could always find old friends having a beer or three.

When people order a half-cheese-only, half-ground-taco-meat-and-cheese pizza, perhaps it means that they don't want the taco meat on the cheese side. Especially when it is then smothered in melted cheese, making it impossible to pick the offending pieces off. Half the pizza was then unable to be eaten, and we didn't want to wait for another. Also, maybe the person taking the money should not walk from the register to the pizza making station and put her unwashed hands inth the shredded cheese and spread it on the pizza. Very basic stuff. If they can't get these simplest of things correct, I cannot imaging what else they are doing wrong.

I would have to say this pizza place was the worst. There were no paper towels or napkins, we had to use the cloth towels they use for cleaning. The salad was starting to turn brown. The pizza crust tasted like a large saltine cracker. The young girl working seemed miffed that we had actually wanted to come and give them money. There used to be 3 pizza places in Burney there are now 2, and honestly with the crappy food and service to go with it, there will be only 1.Good Luck on survivinig in a small town that rely on tourists. When visiting Burney go to Geppitos. Halftime Pizza is a full time waste!

The food was good. The service was very slow. The person who took your order and then prepared it seemed annoyed that she had to get off the phone to provide customer service.
