The Pear Tree Restaurant - Burnaby

The Pear Tree is probably the only truly fine dining restaurant in Burnaby, B.C., Canada and it is top of the line with very few genuine competitors in its class. Run by a husband and wife team with excellent attentive staff in an elegant interior design setting this is one of those “must experience” restaurants. The portions of food are relatively large for a fine dining restaurant, tasty and food on plate design creative. Don’t expect to pay less than 100 for two, but it is well worth the experience.

I absolutely adore the new menu at this restaurant since it reopened. The variety of fresh ingredients, paired with the chef's skill and creativity, made our meals absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying the wine pairings, as each dish is expertly matched with a complementary drink. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Be sure to make your reservation soon to support your local restaurants!

They accommodated our last minute reservation and didn't make us wait for all guests to show up before seating us, as some restaurants do. Most importantly, the food was delicious, including all the garnishes. Some of the items on the menu were available in both appetizer size and entree size. We all ate everything on our plates.

Had the lobster cappuccino and scallop risotto to start. Amazing flavours, great plating and good sized portion for an appie. Mains were very good. The chef accommodated a small request no problem. Service was attentive, timely and professional. Highly recommend going to this Burnaby staple! Excellent place for date night or celebrations! I will definitely return and recommend to everyone.

Awesome petite French restaurant with beautiful ambience. Food is fantastically prepared and taste exquisitely. Must be in everyone's bucket list!
