Portobello Burnaby

Great place for some good homemade Italian food. The ambiance was wonderful and service was impeccable. It was nice to see the husband and wife owners there too: husband in kitchen ans chef and wife hosting and providing extra treats and showcasing her homemade desserts. We will definitely be going back again!

Service was great and totally enjoyed my meal , Food was nice and hot when they served us , Great experience overall , my only negative is is that everything comes out so quick that it would be nice to slow it down so you can enjoy the night out , seems a little eat , drink leave .

Everything was wonderful! My only complaint is that the Cioppino de Mare had very little fish, though it did have an abundance of shellfish. The service was outstanding, and the noise level was perfect—loud enough to create a lively atmosphere while still allowing for easy conversation.

The food and atmosphere were pleasant. Given the current staffing shortages, the service started off a bit slow, likely because our server was attending to too many tables. However, as the meal went on, the service improved. This is a nice restaurant, and we were seated in a cozy area where the noise level was moderate. Overall, it was a good experience.

We waited for a long time for our reservation. The hostess told us it would be a minute. Was approx 10, tables were empty. One couple had to pay at front because waiter ignored them. Food very overpriced, osso bucco was ok but sauce very thin and o my vegetables were 5 tiny carrots. Expect more veggies for that money. Waiter kept taking plates away while people still eating. Waiter never topped up wine.
