"Fantastic!" the four of us shout, and it really is with an incredible array to choose from on their well-stocked buffet tables. and the service is equally wonderful, our water glasses not permitted to go empty. Add to this a senior's discount, and it doesn't get much better, the bill only $98 for the group.
Food is hot, and they refill the buffet very quickly. This location tends to have rude waitstaff, but the food itself is delicious.
Dropped in because we had watched Undercover Boss and loved the show with the owners daughter visiting locations. Moved from Nova Scotia this summer and had never been to Mandarin Buffet. EXCELLENT! We both ate way too much, but everything was delicious... they are celebrating Canada 150 the month of July, so a lot of Maple inspired foods! I had to try the Algonquin Canoe ice cream with Kit Kat pieces and of course CHOCOLATE COVERED BACON STRIPS! Location very convenient for visiting, just off the QEW. Interior location very pretty too with the cherry blossom tree in the dining room. The managing partner, Song Zhang dropped by our table to see how we were enjoying our meal. Very friendly and definitely will return!
We were hesitant to get off the highway to go to the Mandarin in Burlington as we had not been in there in some time and our last visit wasn't that impressive. It turned out we hadn't been there in a lot longer than "some time". We discovered the that they had moved but a helpful local pointed us to their new location. We found it easily. We were very impressed with everything! The atmosphere was bright and calming. The service was impeccable and the food was excellent. We had a Mandarin "virgin" with us. She could not have been more impressed and became an instant fan. She will be visiting the one in her home town now. It was a wonderful visit. Many thanks to Janice Oh and her staff for make it such a wonderful experience.
I've been to Mandarin at this location several times, for the most part it has been okay, the variety isn't bad but the desserts are mostly frozen and their alcoholic offerings are overpriced. The reason why people should go to mandarin is their buffet, their is a decent amount of variety and most of the dishes taste good.If they improve their dessert offerings I would have no problem bumping this up to a 5-star rating but until they do it is an average buffet that is slightly more expensive than the average in Burlington with a good variety of steamed, fried or baked dishes to choose from for dinner.
