As soon as I walked in, Tod was quick to assist us, providing a menu and explaining the drinks. He was fantastic! The food was also amazing—everything we ordered was delicious! We had chili dogs, hamburgers, fries, onion rings, and loaded tater tots. This is hands down the best hot dog joint I've ever been to!
As we were leaving at 8:52 PM, we learned that they sometimes close early. I remarked that we were fortunate this wasn't one of those nights. One of the cooks then accused me of having "bullied my way in." Seriously? I would never resort to bullying! Most businesses appreciate having customers, but it seems that Skids does not like patrons arriving close to closing time. I will not be returning as a customer. After the cook called me a "bully," I made it clear I wouldn't come back, to which he responded that it didn't matter to him. I suppose they have enough customers to overlook losing mine. However, what might concern him more is my connections and influence with the restaurant inspectors at the Alamance County Health Department!
Really good and fast. I wish they had the tater tots back.
Was just ok for me. Probably not somewhere I would go back again.
