Lake Champlain Chocolates- Church St

This is some of the best chocolate I've ever had. I've never found a darker dark chocolate, and the dark chocolate/peanut butter bars are incredible. I wish I could've tried a bit of everything, but there's always next time.

We were told there would be a 10-minute wait for ice cream and 15 minutes for hot drinks when we reached the counter due to being backed up. I found it surprising that it takes over 15 minutes to scoop ice cream, especially since there were two dedicated staff members working behind the counter in addition to the two cashiers. Sure, it was crowded, but not to the extent that it should have taken that long. Even with 10 people ahead of me, I don't think it should take 15 minutes to get a two-scoop ice cream cone. Ultimately, we did end up waiting the quoted time, if not longer, as this was the third place we tried for dessert, but that wait seemed excessive. I doubt we would have waited if we weren’t so tired from walking around. It seems like the café staff could benefit from some efficiency training. However, I will say that my ice cream and his hot chocolate were quite good, though I'm not sure they were worth such a long wait.

My dad recommended this place, and my girlfriend and I are so glad we checked it out! The chocolates here are outstanding, whether you're enjoying their truffles or bars; the selection is fantastic. The staff was also friendly and very helpful. We can't wait to order some to be shipped to New York!

Incredible selection of every type of chocolate you can imagine. The quality is absolutely outstanding!

Can I tell you I'm addicted to the aztec mocha? Amazing!
