I want to commend the Puerto Rican worker who handled a difficult situation with remarkable calmness today at the Burlington, NC location during lunchtime. He was publicly criticized and threatened by a Black male employee, who should certainly know better than to behave that way in front of customers and fellow staff. The portions we received were not up to the standards we've come to appreciate at this restaurant. Even when another staff member tried to resolve the situation, the aggressive employee responded with hostility. Unfortunately, because of this incident, we've decided to take our business elsewhere. On a positive note, I did see a Black woman give a tip to the Puerto Rican worker for his professionalism in managing the situation.
I frequently visit various Chipotle locations between Raleigh and Winston-Salem due to my construction job that takes me across the state. Generally, the food is consistent, but I've had a negative experience at this particular location with an older African American man who works there. He is incredibly stingy with the portion sizes. Today, I ordered a half steak, half chicken bowl, and he only put three small pieces of chicken in it. When I asked for more, he told me it was limited to 2 ounces. Frustrated, I walked out of the store, and this isn't the first time I've faced this issue with him. On another occasion, he charged me for extra cheese, and I paid before realizing it. His demeanor is often angry and rude, and I suspect he might be a manager. The service and attitude I experienced from him were just dreadful. I've never felt compelled to leave a review before, but I felt it was necessary to address this. I believe it would be better if he weren't serving customers; perhaps he could take on a cleaning role—just ensure he uses enough cleaning products. I regret not getting his name, but I'm sure others have had similar experiences and know who I'm talking about, as I've seen him treat other customers the same way while I was in line. Aside from him, everyone else at this location has provided great service, as long as he isn't at the front counter.
This is the only Chipotle I’ve been to that repeatedly claims I need to pay for guac since it’s on the side, even though it is a VEGGIE bowl, every time.
Skimpy portions on everything, especially meat, EXCEPT they will load you up with rice. Very unclean environment. chips were undercooked and wet (literally) deeming them inedible. Card machine was down keeping a line of us for 10 minutes unless we had cash which none of us did. The remedy was to order online so we could pay and take it but the prices are more online so our totals were not what they were saying in store. Really ethical way to do business! I gave this location a try after several poor experiences over the last couple of years and was disappointed yet again. I will never visit this location again.
