Benihana - Burlingame

I had my first experience at the historic Benihana, and it was fantastic, especially with the hibachi-style cooking. The food is prepared right in front of you and is incredibly fresh! The chef was entertaining, showcasing impressive tricks while engaging with the guests, particularly the kids. I really enjoyed the hot soup at the beginning and the green tea ice cream for dessert. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!

Having grown up in the Bay Area since the 90s, I've been to many Benihanas, and my wife informed me that this location is one of the oldest, although it has updated furniture. Our waitress, who was young but very attentive and considerate, was a highlight of our visit. She recommended the Exotic Mojito, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The chef was charming, energetic, and playful, adding to the overall experience. We ended up receiving extra food since the other party at our table declined some items. The view of the beautiful bay was stunning, as we watched planes taking off and seabirds flying by. The calamari was exceptional as well. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely bring family and friends back in the future!

Benihana is a delightful experience, regardless of the city or state you visit. The brand instantly brings to mind the excitement of Hibachi-style cooking. The chefs are not only skilled but also incredibly entertaining and love to interact with the guests. The food is always freshly prepared and served hot. Plus, they offer the most delicious sherbet for dessert!

This place has heritage and history. Been in bay for a long time. Lot of parking available. You probably better off going with a group so you can have a table to yourself. The chef tricks are amazing and are very popular especially with kids. Sushi wasvery tasty. The view was amazing and the windows overlook the bay shores and the sfo airport. Staff is very friendly. The onlydownside is this place is very expensive. So be prepared to look at an expensive menu. Food quality was amazing but 5 stars forambience and views.

Me and my girlfriend went here as we were craving hibachi. Overall very good experience. I’ve been to two other hibachis one in Phoenix Arizona and one in Syracuse NY. So far this was the best one. The guy that did our hibachi was hilarious and drew achicken from one of the eggs. Highly recommend! ????????
