The sandwich I ordered was one of the best I've had in a while, and I consider myself a sandwich connoisseur. The Dutch crunch bread was amazing, and I appreciated the extensive and unique menu. There were plenty of vegetarian/vegan options to choose from, much more variety than the typical salad on bread with condiments offered at other sandwich shops for vegetarians.
One of the best sandwich shops I've been to, hands down. Their selection of produce is amazing, and the chips/drinks/desserts are all great quality. Whoever calls the shots (I'd like to think the real Ike) made choices based off good taste rather than how they could make more, and it is obvious. The atmosphere inside is nice and comfortable, with cute vintage lunchboxes adorning the walls. My sandwich was perfect, and I went with something pretty basic. (Turkey, Avocado, lettuce, tomato, mayo on wheat) with a side of their house habenero hot sauce. Next time I'll try one of their more signature sandwiches! My iced tea was organic (for those who that matters to) I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a quick bite, and really wish there was a location closer to where I live! Nothing but good words from me, keep up the amazing work!
I made an order online and it was ready to pick up within the next 20-30 minutes! It was super easy and the staff was so friendly. Subs were absolutely delicious.
There are so many options to choose from, but my go-to is the Menage a Trois. I love the bread - it's sweet, soft, and has a nice crunch on the outside. The subs are always loaded with fresh meat and crisp veggies. Just half a sub is enough to satisfy me. This was the first sandwich shop in LA that stole my heart.
The food was fantastic. I had never dined at Ike's before, but I highly recommend it.
