The food is about a 4.2, great but not 5 star worthy. The service was good, but not great. I say good because my brother in law had ordered another glass of wine and it took longer than normal, 5 minutes would have been okay, but 15 minutes is too long. My husband had the lasagna and it was good, but like I said not great. I have 2 other reviews of Italian places that have amazing lasagna. My salmon pasta was tasty, rich in flavor, so I had enough for a good left over meal. If asked, I would go back.
Nice family style Italian. Nothing super fancy, not great ambience but the food was delicious. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

I 'm so disappointed. I picked this place based on the yelp reviews, and the beautiful photos customers had taken. I decided to treat myself to a meal alone, and I regret it. The only reason I give this place two stars is because the chicken was fresh, and you gotta give credit for that. Let 's first start with the fact that I 'm Italian, and nothing about this place was Italian to me, other than the sliding screen show on the television, and the nice decor around the restaurant. A legit Italian restaurant meets their guests with hospitality. The bus boy told me he would have to ask his manager, if I could dine. She approached me and seated me, and the bus boy made sure right away that I had water. After that, everything went downhill. The service was horrible, and the staff was either curt, or just flat out rude. The only person that I found to be really nice was the bus boy wearing the mask. He was sweet and kind... very considerate. I asked many questions to the because I have allergies, specifically to alcohol and vinegar, and the manager who was also my waitress, was delighted to tell me that the artichoke is fresh and grilled. She was adamant that I had nothing to worry about regarding my allergies. Sadly, this was a flat out lie! Fresh artichokes? Fresh from the can, or the bottle! Grilled? Yup, right after they remove them from the can or the bottle and the marinade it 's sitting in. I knew as soon as I took the first bite that there was absolutely vinegar in it, as the roof of my mouth was itching and burning. When I physically got up to find the waitress, I expressed my concerns and dislike, and I was met with combativeness. The worst part about this, is in the end, she told me she didn 't have any clue what I was talking about, because she doesn 't eat artichokes, and she wasn 't able to get clear answers from the cooks other than the fact that said artichokes are imported. I felt VERY uncomfortable with her facial expressions, and her blatant lack of knowledge, and it was around this time that she said she would remove it from the check, but that these are special imported artichokes. This is what most might call being gaslit. I continued to express the severity of my allergies after taking one bite. I asked her why she would send me an artichoke if she wasn 't sure what it was marinated in, and why my questions were not being answered by her chefs? Moreover, why was I lied to you when I ordered this item? It took everything for me not to walk out, but out of respect for the fact that I had ordered a main dish, I continued to wait, as it would surely be coming in a few.... Or so I thought! I ordered the chicken piccata, and I made sure to insist that no wine be used due to my very serious alcohol allergy. The waitress told me that the cook wanted me to know that it would not taste the same. I was quite all right with that. I watched as people that came in after me received their steak, pasta, and other very nice looking items. I asked a male waiter if he could help me to find out where my chicken was, as I had been in this restaurant for nearly an hour. He had the audacity to tell me it has to cook. CLEARLY, I 'm aware that chicken has to cook. Minutes later I got my chicken piccata. I was so hungry. I wanted to pull my hair out. I had told the waitress when I walked in that I was really hungry. Either they don 't offer bread here, or they just didn 't care. I had to get up to ask for Parmesan cheese, as no one came to offer it to me like they did the other tables. No one even asked me how my meal was. I had to get up to pay for it. I watched in disbelief as everyone around me was met with kindness, and the upmost respect. As I 'm writing this review, nasty stomach ache, reliving dinner, I still can 't wrap my head around how I was treated. How I was never asked if there was anything else they could do for me appetizer wise, or offer me a dessert, or if my allergy was getting worse? NOTHING!!! Oh, I almost forgot, my manager waitress apologized for the long wait after she brought me my chicken because she had to accommodate the larger party, she said. I honestly can 't believe I left a tip. I 've never been so happy to leave a restaurant. I guess I 'll never know why this happened, but what I do know is that I will never come back to this place again, and I don 't recommend you do either. NEXT DAY UPDATE: There absolutely was alcohol and/or vinegar in my food. An hour after writing my review, I was doubled over the toilet all night. This quickly escalated into dehydration, and a severe migraine. My throat and my nose started closing, and I almost had to epi myself. With allergies, you can be an instant reaction, or a delay-er. My symptoms come on slowly, and then rather quickly. I am miserable today, and had to call off of work. I have decided to change my rating from two stars to one star.
