We stopped at the café for the first time today, expecting average food at tourist prices (we were hungry! and were blown away by the quality of our meals and the value. We ordered from the takeaway menu, which is quite a bit less expensive than sitting in the restaurant, but we hadn't wanted fries and whatever extras come with them anyway. My grilled barramundi sandwich was among the best fish sandwiches I've ever had anywhere. Fish was tender, generous portion and full of flavour without being fishy. Perfect with tartare sauce and greens in a seeded ciabatta bun. It was a large sandwich but I finished it because it was so good. My husband got the chicken Caesar salad and loved his just as much.The view is worth a stop and the lady at the information centre was helpful and friendly.We moved to the Illawarra region a few months ago and pass by the centre on the way to Sydney fairly often. It had never occurred to us to stop before, but I am looking forward to our next meal there!
