Golden Seven #3 - Buford

I no longer need to travel 45 minutes to an hour for delicious PHO, as the GOLDEN PHOENIX RESTAURANT in Buford is much closer than Duluth. Their menu features both THAI and CHINESE dishes, allowing you to choose whichever cuisine you’re in the mood for. The PHO is simply perfect, and their GENERAL TSO CHICKEN is cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of crispiness and a spice level that doesn’t overpower. The service is consistently great, and the atmosphere is extremely quiet—at least during my visits. I often see customers coming in for takeout, but I personally prefer enjoying my food right away.

We are thrilled that this restaurant has reopened for dining in and is now under new management! The menu features a delightful blend of Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese cuisine, and we couldn't resist trying a bit of everything. The bahn mi was incredible, with a wonderful crust on the outside and a soft interior. I had the pork, which was sweet, spicy, and absolutely delicious. I'm a big fan of nam sod, and their version of larb gai was a great substitute for me. It had just the right amount of spice and was a perfect appetizer to kick off our meal. The server suggested the Vietnamese house vermicelli, and it was simply amazing—definitely a must-try! I also ordered the spicy basil noodles and Mongolian beef, two classic dishes that were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant, which also offers takeout. You won’t be disappointed!

This restaurant offers delicious food, a cozy atmosphere, and great prices. I absolutely love it! It really helped me during my long business trip. I highly recommend the Vietnamese and Thai dishes. Just be careful with the soup when taking it to go; it’s very hot!

I usually don’t write reviews but I Love this place! So many options between Vietnamese, Chinese Thai cuisine. My favorite is the Vietnamese Braised Beef Stew with noodles. Great flavor! The Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls with the Peanut sauce is yummy. Highly recommend!

Wow! This place is 10 stars. The service is personal you get what you need before you ask..... the food is too die for. I wish I had 10 more stomachs. My mouth waters as I write this I can't wait to go back. They have cuisine from a few nations I'm so excited to try to Vietnamese next! Run get a table!
