Charlie The Butcher's - Buffalo

I’ve been a customer at this location for a while but how I was treated yesterday in there by I guess the supervisor, young girl! Accused me of stealing without saying it! Horrible customer service, I didn’t think that this was one of those places but it is! Lucky for them I didn’t call my lawyer, I WILL JUST TAKE MY MONEY ELSEWHERE! I will NEVER return there! This is one of those “funny places” in this city! Beware!

This is probably the best beef on weck sandwich I have ever had. The beef is sliced fresh and the au jus and horseradish were also very delicious.

Charlie the Butcher rates a 5 on its iconic Buffalo beef on a weck. They carve the roast beef in front of you and it is served on a salted bun. Delicious. This restaurant is part of the charming Elmwood Avenue line of restaurants and shops. Parking can be a bit tight. While we loved the food, and would go here strictly for that, the restaurant itself has kind of a fast food feel. There are only a few tables in the restaurant, perhaps enough to seat about 20 people or so. You order the food at the counter and they bring it out to you. We saw a fair number of take-out orders being filled as well. Definitely come here for the beef on a weck. And spend some time enjoying the neighborhood ambience.
