I remember going for a long time, 40 years ago, when it was one of the places where he ate best, already since that time in the center of this capital. It still has the same fame, which it has preserved despite the years that have elapsed. It specializes in Mediterranean cuisine: Its fish, seafood and pasta are excellent. Also his risottos. Attention is merciful and the quiet and sober atmosphere. Ideal for business food as it is glued to the city porteña . It's open from Monday to Saturday all day. Shut up on Sundays. Currently offers a special menu that I give details in the photos with a price of $84.-per person, includes table service and $99.- that adds a bottle every two people from Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay from Bodegas Alamos.
Excellent food but we order a plate for two and wasn't enough. The place has a nice view as well........................
We asked for a table inside because it was extremely hot outside. However, the air conditioning had very little effect and they sat us at a table underneath a lightbulb that was flickering. Since my wife suffers from migraine, we decided to move outside. Grumpily, they set us up outside. The three wines by the glass were all Chardonnays and when I said I would prefer Sauvignon Blanc the waiter said okay but was a little snarky. He did not bring the bottle to show us (as was the case in all other Chilean and Argentinian restaurants we ate in) but presented us with two glasses of white wine that was absolutely tasteless. I said it didn’t taste like a Sauvignon Blanc; in fact it tasted as though it had been watered down (but don't believe a restaurant of this calbre would do that). Nevertheless, they should pour the wine out of the bottle in front of you. He said there was nothing wrong with the wine, but at this point we walked out of the restaurant and went elsewhere.Appalling experience overall, yet the restaurant is obviously popular because there were lots of reserved tables.
When the almost €10 cubierto bread arrives and is tale you should probably leave straight away. The gin and tonic is made at the table and consists of 1/2 glass of gin and you add your own tonic and costs almost €14. Your barely make it through an awful opener and cannot eat the main course (both of us) it was so bad. We had a bite each. One of the worst restaurants I have frequented in the world let alone Buenos Aires and very pricey too!! Overpriced and rubbish. Waiters are polite and good, kitchen should be fired.
I was here for lunch. The food is good but the pasta was over cooked which is a common problem outside Italy.
