Place had many open seats and I really liked the ambiance music as it sounded modern Japanese which sounds good to me. Staff was pro and attentive. Portions were plentiful and price was good. Clean and modern place. I'll be back any time.
If you are expecting fresh sushi, this is NOT it! I ordered a tuna roll and it was tuna FROM A CAN!!!!!!! What?!?! It wouldn't t have been such a bad experience if the service was better, but the service was also HORRIBLE. We ordered and about a half hour later our waiter came over (still without our drinks) and asked if we had ordered...and she wrote it down. Then she brought my husband's, but forgot my meal...TWICE! Really bad. We came here because it had such great ratings but never again. One star. Don't come here.
Hubs and I noticed this place while out walking a few blocks from our hotel near Plaza Dorrego. We were looking for a change of pace and thought we'd try local sushi, since the seafood we'd been having was excellent. We came away feeling like this place was just OK. we started with a very unconventional seaweed salad that we'd never had in that form before, and it tasted OK, just wasn't what we were expecting. The gyoza was good, pretty much what you find and taste anywhere. Their selection of rolls is really salmon-heavy, with just a handful of tuna options, and not much else (for instance, yellowtail, octopus, eel, mackerel, etc. . We also ordered a Philly roll, and the salmon was cut quite thin, and there was lots of cream cheese and rice, so most of the flavor profile was much less about the salmon and a lot more about the cream cheese. I also had a salmon skin roll, which was better, as was the shrimp tempura roll. If we ever find ourselves in BA again, I don't know that we'd come back here. It certainly wasn't bad, but didn't have much to lure us back. That said, the service was good, and the ambiance was nice as well.
Expensive for what you get, and the sashimi isn't fresh or high quality. Service is pleasant enough. I ordered miso soup, agedashi tofu, and a 21 piece mixed sashimi. The sashimi only had two types of fish not really the mix that was shown in the photo. I was misled by positive reviews on Tripadvisor when searching for something different while traveling in Argentina for a month. The soup and tofu were both good, but I was unable to finish the sashimi due to its quality. The fish caused me an upset stomach making this a place I would not recommend.
The restaurant decor was nice enough, but the food was shockingly bad. The green tea was hot water with no infusion of tea leaves whatsoever. The tempura was a greasy mass of vegetables fried in a glutinous mess of some sort of batter, and dripping with grease. We ordered several sushi rolls, all of which were inedible. The rice was gummy and completely unseasoned, the nori was soggy, and the tuna roll was made with CANNED TUNA!!! The miso soup was completely flavorless, and they also brought a bowl of ramen that we didn't order, and proceeded to argue with us that we had in fact ordered it. So, horrifying food, poor service, and passable ambiance. Please don't waste your time or money.
