Mercado Del Centro - Buenos Aires

We had lunch here on a holiday (we were not aware this day was a holiday, so this was the restaurant we went for out of the few options that were opened around 7 pm). Good thing! They had a good variety of food to choose from. My husband was sick, and he was able to have a vegetable soup there, so we were happy. Food was served very fast and the staff was nice to us at all times. I recommend this place.

Good restaurant, a bit pricy for dinner but big portions. The meat was very good, good service, maybe they should change the airco system, was not hot but not cold neither.

Right around the corner from our hotel the Tryp is a friendly budget minded hotel with happiness hour prices from 7-11. The ribs and steaks were very good. The waiter was gentle with our horrible Spanish. My sister even got ice with her a Pepsi. The $200 peso Melba's was smooth and round in the mouth. Will return.

I went to Mercado Del Centro with a colleague in September 2016 while exploring the inner city of Buenos Aires. From the outside it looked like a café, but after entering we found out it is also a restaurant. We took a coffee each, which was served quite fast from the friendly waiter. It came with water and some cookies, as it seems to be typical in Buenos Aires. We did not eat anything, and there were few people in the restaurant, hence I cannot say anything about the food, not even how it looks. The place itself is not shabby, but also not fancy either. It was perfect for a 20 minute break from walking around and the coffee was good!

They have very few options in Vegetarian pizza and pizza with Egg Plant is one of the best options in this range. Challenge is, if you are not Spanish speaking person, then it's tough to order the pizza as they don't have English speaking personals on the counter. However you may order based on the options available in Menu.
