The rissoto with funghi was very good, the same can be said about the only local fish and the gnocchi with meat (excellent sauce). This place is mostly for locals and some rather well known people. The owner, Felix, was very attentive and charming. Main dish, wine and half dessert we paid 26us$. They will open soon a bigger place...let´s hope the charm will still be there.
While in Buenos Aires I went twice to this cozy restaurant. The first time I had the pork and beef Terrine with a sweet sauce on top. The flavor and the aroma was out of this world. The second time I had a salmon salad, I can't remember the name of it, but, the combination of flavors was amazing. (See the picture attached). As a main course I had ravioli with pesto sauce. Also very tasty.Service was great and wine as well. Highly recommended!
Small little place very cozy with a peculiar decor, not my taste, few tables so reservarions are mandatory, kind of snobish, not cheap neither expensive with a very small menu offering little choice. No wine cellar, as a matter of fact they could offer only two varieties of a red, one sparkling (local) and one white from none of the high end wineries you may expect in a place like this. Service was somewhat reckless and after a while when ordering, we learn there was no coffee because the machine was broken!
This sweet little place is simply not for everyone. The menu is wall mounted and handwritten; the food is simply delicious. A guest needs to be tolerant of a variety that shifts from day to day ... if a friend liked Felix on Tuesday, the experience is likely to be different of Thursday. One can accept that ... or not.We thought it was fantastic; place yourself in the culinary care of Felix, and you simply cannot miss.
This place is really cool. The best way I can describe it is that it's small, eclectic, and dominated by relatively wealthy locals. It's probably not for everyone as there are only 7 or so dishes (written on a mirror on the wall) but if you're into a not-so-ordinary dining experience amongst people who live locally, this is the place. The owner (Felix) speaks English very well and his meals are better still. Dinner can be quite busy so best to make a reservation. Lunch usually doesn't require a call beforehand.
