La Cholita - Buenos Aires

The portions were so big that we would have divided. The price is great. The steak was so big that it was hard for the cook to get it right as we like to cook it. We ordered medium, but it was better. The meal was great, but I would like to have some sauce with the steak, but that wasn't at all on the menu.

After four days in BsAs I have a suggestion to try La Chalita. Unfortunately, my worst choice in many years. First, you don't accept a credit card. In addition, the place is loud and above all the parrilla was terrible, not only my assado de tira, but also the Bife de lomo of my daughter. No taste and very difficult to eat. Besides, you can't change the guarnicion and the house wine ... (was that a wine? Not your time and money (not cheap there...

We had a great lunch, it was so good we went back to dinner 6 hours later. The restaurant is only far enough from Recoleta to feel locally and be significantly better, 10 minutes walk. We had a light lunch with salad, they were massive and beautifully fresh. We share a plate of steak with side, perfectly boiled and amazing value. Very recommended.

We had some GREAT Steaks before the departure to the airport at 2.30. The place was packed, but we managed to get a few seats, and quickly ordered the Bife de Lomo and Bife de Chorizo and a few Cervezas. Waiting for the two steaks was not too long, and not too short to get me worried about their cooking. And they were excellent!! Very good way to finish our 2 weeks in BA. And there was no problem with our very limited Spanish, and their lack of an English menu!! Very recommended.

Restaurant in Recoleta district, easy access, cozy location, the main dish was fantastic as well as the pint! Pay attention cause they do not accept credit cards, cash only.
