This is a great choice at any time of day. You can have traditional coffee with croissants breakfast, which are always good. You also have a daily lunch menu that is cheap and includes desserts. My favorites are Breaded Chicken (Milanesa) with fried eggs and fries. It's a big record, but you have to try. Beef Filet Steak(Bife de Lomo) is also spectacular. Also Fried-Hake (Merluza) with mixed vegetables is great. Prices are reasonable. It's a place where the locals go, so it's good to get pieces of BA culture too. Enjoy
My hotel gave me a voucher to this place so I had free breakfast. Hot chocolate was ok and bread was also good.
We eat there today after arriving in BA on an overnight flight. We've been busy and we're very happy. You have a wide selection of dishes, pasta, pizzas, salads, tortillas espanolas and the prices very reasonable. We had both pizzas that were very tasty. I ordered the person who was 4 generous discs. My husband ordered the next size up and truly we could have shared it. As already mentioned, they have menus in Spanish and English. The waiter was very helpful and the service was good. I speak Spanish, but the waiter was very accommodating with my husband's English, even though he doesn't quite understand him. You don't have to tap here. We didn't know and when we tried, the waiter didn't say necessary.
The food and service was excellent. We had the cheese pizza and empanadas. Delicious! Many of the restaurants in Buenos Aires charge a cover fee. This is not the tip for the waiter. Some restaurants are higher than others. I asked a local about this charge and they said it depends on the location, etc. A local explained that tipping is usually 10%.
