We have been eaten twice and will probably do it again in our coming and going. Dinner begins at 8:00 or 8:30, which is late by our US standards, but an Argentine friend said he does not trust any restaurant serving dinner before 8 because it means that it is for tourists. (One of our guides on this trip said she eats dinner in general at 10:30. Also services lunch..
Full disclosure: That wasn't our goal! We stayed a few blocks away and drove to another restaurant, but discovered this jewel while walking. Menu looked good and looked through the window, it looked very tempting not too big, not too busy...and not too pretentious. We got a table in the back corner, which was quite perfect, and the waitress had almost perfect English (a great slide to our near terrible Spanish). Instead of the standard barbecue steaks we enjoy, we tried pepper steak (him) and Normandy steak (him) after a starter of baked mozzarella. Both were perfect and very pleasant! We had an interesting Malbec called Olivia, that was young and very Pinot Noir like. Overall quite a pleasant evening, but unfortunately our table ended quite warm at the back of the restaurant (the only not so good point). But good to know about and highly recommended for a nice cozy dinner, in a beautiful quiet street in Recoleta.
From the moment we walked i we were made to feel so welcome. The service was excellent, our meal was delicious and memorable and we came away truly satisfied. It was our first meal on our first day in BA. We would have no hesitation...in recommending Brut Nature.
We where in the Arc Recoleta, which is about 400 meters from this restaurant, and they didn't know. It is a charming family restaurant with good food, good service at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend...
First, this is in a very safe neighborhood, Recoleta, opposite the road of Howard Johnson. They open at 8:00 and they come unlocked and open the door to let you in and out. It seems that many locals go there. We had no reservations... but it's a very small restaurant, so if you go much later than what I would suggest. In the first night we had served both fillet mignon, which came with one side of potatoes, bread and we got a bottle of Malbec wine all for $34. It was excellent! Waiting staff spoke fair English first night, good the second. In the second night I had the calfskaloppini that melted in my mouth with similar sides, wine, for neckby and we have a delicious brownie dessert for well under $40. We felt very welcome. I recommend this restaurant.
